Winter has come…

The Clock struck eight. The thunder of its bell woke me out of my slumber. I looked out of the window, a sense of shiver ran down my spine. I was aghast and agape at the sight of the Maple Tree. It stands today naked and ugly, devoid of Life, bare with no Leaf.
A few months back, the Tree stood there with bright colors, and its leaves were red and yellow, full of Life and Brilliance. The Sunrays sparkled on its leaves, and the dewdrops shone on it. Birds were chirping on its branches and playing among themselves, and the deep gray squirrel ran up and down its branches with a twig stuck in its mouth.
All are gone now. All is now History. Now stands here the Tree, naked and dull, with no life, no color, with no bird to sing a song and no Squirrel to run up and down its branches.
The dark winter has barged into our lives.
